Comet Readings’ 2026 Book-to-Screen Challenge
Are you ready to join a Book-to-Screen Challenge and discover new books all year long?
I’ve always loved reading the book before watching the adaptation — there’s something magical about seeing characters you’ve imagined come to life on the screen. Sometimes the movie captures the story perfectly, and other times the book holds a charm no adaptation can replace. Either way, it’s such a fun experience to compare the two.
That’s why I’m so excited about the 2026 Book-to-Screen Mini Challenge. With 12 prompts — one for each month — this challenge invites you to explore the books behind the adaptations everyone’s watching, rewatch your favorites, and join the conversations around stories that jump from page to screen. You can complete it on its own or pair it with the main 2026 Comet Readings Challenge if you’d like to double the fun.
What’s the 2026 Book-to-Screen Challenge?
This is one of our Mini Challenges — a lighter track within the full Comet Readings 2026 Reading Challenge. Instead of 52 prompts, you’ll complete 12 prompts, one per month.
This challenge is for readers who love comparing the page to the screen. With 12 prompts, you’ll read books that inspired movies or TV series — and maybe rewatch the adaptations too. You can complete it on its own or pair it with the main 2026 Comet Readings Challenge if you’d like to double the fun.
