I Came Back For You Book Review
I Came Back for You was my first Kate White book, and I’m honestly so glad I finally picked up one of her books. I love discovering a thriller author who can truly surprise me, and this story absolutely delivered.
From the very beginning, the premise pulled me in. Ten years after her daughter’s murder, Bree Winter is forced to question everything she believed about the crime. As she returns to the town where the tragedy happened, the investigation slowly unravels layers of secrets, keeping me completely hooked.
What I loved most about this novel is how the story constantly twists in unexpected directions. I had several theories while reading, but every single one of them turned out to be wrong. The plot keeps shifting just enough to make you doubt every character and every possibility. You can really feel Bree’s emotional drive throughout the story. Her grief, her doubts, and her relentless need to uncover the truth give the book a strong emotional core, making the mystery even more compelling.
If you enjoy psychological thrillers full of twists, secrets, and revelations that keep you guessing until the end, this one is definitely worth picking up. I’m already looking forward to reading more from Kate White.
